I own three of these coats, one in olive drab, one in woodland camo, and a fancy one in brown leather. They are the best coat ever made by man!
Many pockets, a full, bi-swing back, and durable NYCO (Nylon/Cotton) material, these babies are water-proofed, wind-proof, fully adjustable with drawstrings, and wear like iron. You can even attach a hood and liner to the built-in attachment points for winter weather fun.
When shopping for an M-65 though, be careful of cheap imitations! The real ones have the Pentagon's contract and inventory numbers, "NSN" numbers, on the inside label.
Cheap models are of poor construction--misaligned snaps and button holes, an inferior, "half-way" bi-swing design around the sleeves only, instead of extending to the waist as per spec. This design is a bogus rip-off and it doesn't work!
NOTE: If you are buying a new coat, and not military surplus, look for the NSN number and the manufacturer's name on the label. The only "civilian" model that is worth a damn is made by a government contractor, Alpha Industries.
